Illustrated print of "katakana", Japanese alphabet. Katakana is like hiragana but used for transcription of foreign language. They are used less frequently than Hiragana and very hard to master.
I chose each sample vocabularies very carefully with my daughter and picked household items we use at home, animals and activities we enjoy, we featured the Icelandic sweater I knitted, our British shorthair cat and hair style we are into. Putting up this poster on your wall will help you master katakana.
I started this project originally in 2018 in A1 size to help my daughter learning Japanese. Printed in 150 gsm off white matte paper. It's A3 size and printed with Riso, Japanese duplicator by myself at East London studio. It’s a smaller version of A1 size poster which has been a long seller but many people requested smaller format to fit in with their decor. (You said I did!)
